Replacing a damaged exterior slide-out cable requires positioning the room to the halfway point and properly supporting the slide box to prevent shifting. You will access the interior jamb clamp and standoff brackets to detach the old cable, and then feed the new stainless steel cable through the exterior bracket and grommet. The cable is then routed through the system and secured to the chain drive using the ferrule and a crimping tool.
