Battery Disconnect Latching Relay For Jayco #LR9806J-BIP
The latching relay is an effective battery disconnect device. The LR9806J-BIP is a single-pulse latching relay. It only requires a short “pulse” of voltage to activate or deactivate the relay. Since the LR9806J-BIP does not require constant voltage, it is one less load on the battery
J-BIP version has a small circuit board attached to the positive terminal of the relay coil. The is a protection circuit that removes voltage from the coil after a time delay to protect the coil should the switch become stuck in the closed position, or the wiring become grounded.
