Spring Camping can be fun but without pre planning we can have some issues on our first time out of storage.
In many parts of the country we store our campers for 4 to 6 months of the year and only dream of RV and camping adventures. We bring our campers out of storage in early spring and begin the process of loading up our supplies and fixing any or our appliances or systems that we knew had issues last fall.
The plumbing and sanitation system can suffer during winter storage so we need to make sure that we check for issues with plenty of time for repair. Last spring I did not follow my own advise and discovered a leaky Thetford Toilet valve just days before our first camping trip. Luckily I was able to temporarily fix the water inlet on my Thetford Toilet so that we did not have to postpone our trip. Learning my lesson this year I am planning a full and complete system check well in advance of any trips we have planned.
