Description
The Parallax SB100 simulated battery takes the place of an auxiliary battery for customers who never run their coaches off battery power.
These customers need a simulated battery for proper output voltage if they are using a 12 Volt ferro-resonant converter or for proper DC filtering of the battery line if they are using a linear converter in their coach.
NOTE: Connect only to charger output – Do not connect to converter unfiltered output.
The SB100 does not retain a DC charge. The SB100 can be mounted in the battery compartment, but the closer it can be mounted to the converter the better it will work.
- The simulated battery has two 50,000 microfarad capacitors in its construction.
- Used to simulate a battery for the 12 Volt ferro-resonant converter rated to 40 amps
- If converter is larger than 40 amps you must use two in parallel.
